Interlaken's home mountain will be celebrating Swiss tradition this year. From 1 May to 28 October 2018, visitors can look forward to live folklore entertainment on Harder Kulm every evening.

The Jungfrau Railway Group can look back on a strong financial year of 2017. It generated an operating income of 193.8 million Swiss francs. This represents an increase of 14.6 per cent on the previous year. At the same time, it is the highest turnover ever generated.

From Good Friday to Easter Sunday, Grindelwald turns into a party village for young and old to mark the end of the winter sports season. Live bands, egg tapping, events on and off the slopes as well as the largest treasure hunt in Switzerland with prizes worth 20,000 Swiss francs: this is the second edition of “The Winter Final” – the end of season finale in the glacier village and the Grindelwald-First ski area.

The Schynige Platte Railway (SPB) and the Wengernalp Railway (WAB) are 125 years old and celebrating 250 years of mountain railway history together. To mark the anniversary, the post office is introducing two stamps for sale. These were issued on Thursday, 1 March 2018 on Kleine Scheidegg.

The Jungfrau Railway Group can look back on a strong financial year of 2017. It achieved a net transport income of 144 million francs. This means an increase of 14.1 per cent from the previous year and corresponds to the highest transport income generated to date. The positive result was attained from an increase in all segments.

After years of negotiations and personal discussions, Jungfrau Railways was able to find a solution for realising the V-Cableway project with the Kaufmann family. On 7 February 2018, the agreement jointly prepared by both parties was signed.

The clean-up work on the Wengernalp Railway (WAB) line between Lauterbrunnen and Wengen has been completed and train services can resume this afterno on, 22 January 2018. At 13:37, the first train departed Lauterbrunnen towards Wengen. As of 14:03, WAB has been operational from Wengen to Lauterbrunnen. Trains are currently running between Lauterbrunnen and Wengen every hour (Lauterbrunnen from xx: 37, Wengen from xx:03).

Following persistent snow and rain, a landslide occurred on the Wengernalpbahn (WAB) line between Lauterbrunnen and Wengen this morning, 22 January 2018. No trains were affected. WAB train services are currently suspended on the affected section.
The V-Cableway Project exhibition begins on Wednesday, 4 June 2014 in the Grindelwald Sport Centre. In order to provide information about the joint project between Grindelwald-Männlichen Gondola Cableway and Jungfrau Railways, it will be open to the public and all interested parties until the community vote in October 2014.

As part of the V-Cableway Project, an 8-seater gondola is planned from Grindelwald Grund to Männlichen and a tricable gondola to the Eiger Glacier. Two original-sized cabin exhibits have been in Grindelwald Grund since Wednesday, 5 February 2014.

Jungfrau Railways and the Grindelwald-Männlichen Gondola Cableway (GGM) are planning to build a V-Cableway that creates a common terminal from Grindelwald Grund, as well as makes both Männlichen and the Eiger Glacier accessible. From Thursday, 26 September 2013, the zoning plan adjustment required for the cooperation is issued.

Grindelwald Council agrees to the V-Cableway: Jungfrau Railways and the Grindelwald-Männlichen Gondola Cableway are planning to build a V-Cableway to the Eiger Glacier and Männlichen with a common terminal in Grund. Grindelwald Council unanimously agrees with this project and brings the necessary land building regulations before the public in December 2013.

Jungfrau Railways and the Grindelwald-Männlichen Cable Railway plan to jointly develop a V-Cableway that provides access to both the Männlichen and the Eigergletscher. The Y Project was cancelled in favour of the new railway.
