From 4 to 14 August 2016, Winteregg once again becomes the world of cinema. With the unique backdrop of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, films from various genres will be shown 1,600 metres above sea level over eight evenings. On Thursday, 4 August, the event begins with the popular Swiss success, "Die Käserei in der Vehfreude" - in English, "The Cheese Factory in the Hamlet". Other films on the programme include "Ice Age 5 – Collision Course!", "Schellen-Ursli", "The Nice Guys", "Big Friendly Giant" and "Heidi". As part of the festivities for the 125-year celebration of the Lauterbrunnen-Mürren Mountain Railway, the organisers are extending the Movie Nights programme and, on Sunday evening, 14 August, are showing "Chocolat", another cinematic hit with a star-studded cast.

Seven films will be shown in German. For international guests, "Everest" will be shown in English with German and French subtitles. Each film starts at 9 PM.

Culinary cinema enjoyment
You get there by taking the cable car from Lauterbrunnen to Grütschalp where the panorama train continues to Winteregg. The combination of nature, cinema and the culinary art has enjoyed ever greater popularity in recent years. Cinema goers can now combine a film showing with a pre-film evening meal at Winteregg Restaurant. Tickets are available at www.jungfrau.ch/en/events or at all Jungfrau Railways stations.
The Movie Nights have taken place at Winteregg since 2012. The series of events is organised by Jungfrau Railways and Winteregg Restaurant in cooperation with the film exhibitor Movie World Spiez. Over 1,000 visitors are expected.
