Grindelwald Terminal

Grindelwald Terminal BOB stop:

• Final work on access to platform from Kantonsstrasse, Rothenegg roundabout

Terminal building:

• Completion of the interior finishing work (floors, electrical and lighting, technical installations) in the completed shell buildings
• Completion of expansion of shop and restaurant areas
• Completion of the land reclamation work in the northern tract

Eiger Express tricable gondola valley station:

• Adjustment work for the garage and valley station
• Test run and commissioning of Eiger Express

Car park:

• Completion of interior finishing work (poured asphalt, ceiling insulation, painting, electrical and lighting and parking guidance system) on all floors

Access to car park and terminal building (Grundstrasse):

• Completion of road construction work (pavement installation, signalling and markings).
• The paving installation work depends on the weather; the affected residents will be informed about the exact time windows directly by the site management.

Eiger Glacier

Completion of the interior finishing work (floors, electrical and lighting, technical installations, heating, air conditioning and doors) in the completed shell buildings

• Adjustment work tricable gondola summit station
• Completion of façade passage
• Completion of roof covering with gravel layer
• Completion of platform 2 at Eiger Glacier station
• Completion of environmental work in the area of slope exits
• The WAB material transports between Grund and Salzegg with intermediate storage in the two temporary Salzegg halls will continue to take place.

Eiger Express tricable gondola route

• Test run and commissioning of Eiger Express

-> Note: This includes tests of emergency lighting on the track and in the cabins of the Eiger Express. This can result in light emissions in the evening and at night.

Blue run Eiger Glacier to Fallboden:

• The work is completed and the slopes are ready for winter operation.
• The recultivation work will take place in summer 2021.

GGM Männlichen Railway

• The work at the middle and summit stations has been completed.
• The Männlichen Railway has been closed for maintenance work since 26 October 2020. The operation for the winter season starts on 5 December 2020.

Info Pavilion and construction site news

The Info Pavilion was closed to the public on 26 October 2020. On the website v-bahn.jungfrau.ch/en/ you can still find all information about the V-Cableway project. Of course, you can contact us with any questions or concerns at v-bahn.jungfrau.ch/en. We are happy to be at your service.

With the commissioning of the V-Cableway on 5 December 2020, we will end the monthly construction site information. The dismantling of the various installations for construction site logistics and repair work will start in spring 2021. This work will be completed in autumn 2021.

Access to Grindelwald terminal and local bus

Since 26 October 2020, the terminal has been closed until the opening on 5 December 2020. Access to the BOB stop is via the terminal’s night access or the Rothenegg roundabout.

The local bus will stop at the provisional bus stop at the Grindelwald Grund Intersport building. For the exact timetables, please check online.
