Winter sports season starts at Grindelwald and Wengen

On Saturday, 18 November 2017, the winter sports season begins in Grindelwald and Wengen. In recent days, around half a metre of new snow has fallen, so winter sports visitors can enjoy a wide range of slopes over the coming weekend.

Snow falls and cold temperatures in recent days mean that a wide range of slopes and facilities are available as early as the weekend of 18/19 November 2017. The Wixi, Lauberhorn, Eigernordwand and Arvengarten chairlifts are opening on Kleine Scheidegg. If conditions allow, additional facilities and slopes will be in operation. There is also already an offer for winter hikers with the opening of the path from Kleine Scheidegg to Wengernalp.

Advance booking Top 4 until 15 December

As of this winter season, the four largest Bernese ski areas are working together and have launched a joint season pass. Advance booking is ongoing until 15 December 2017. At CHF 666 for advance booking (CHF 950 from 16 December), this pass offers free travel across 666 kilometres of slopes in the Jungfrau ski region, Adelboden-Lenk, Meiringen-Hasliberg and Gstaad. Holders of the new Sportspass also receive a 33% price reduction on overnight stays from Sunday to Thursday in selected hotels at their destinations.
