From 7 to 25 February 2018, they are presenting Jungfrau Railways in South Korea, in cooperation with Grindelwald and Interlaken Tourismus. As an exclusive tourism partner, they are welcoming large numbers of visitors to the House of Switzerland. They have also invited their most important Asian customers and will attend Olympic events with them. Jungfrau Railways CEO Urs Kessler, Marketing Manager Matthias Bütler and Sales Manager Remo Käser have travelled here for the event. They are accompanied by Bruno Hauswirth, Grindelwald Tourism Director and Daniel Sulzer, Interlaken Tourism Director.
Strong presence in the area
With two chalets, Jungfrau Railways and its partners Grindelwald and Interlaken have a high profile in the House of Switzerland. "The prize draws are very popular. In addition, 70,000 chocolates with the logo of our partners, Interlaken, Grindelwald, Kirchhofer and Lindt & Sprüngli will be distributed. Our Asian customers appear to be impressed. Several Swiss national ice-hockey players from SCB and Bruno Kernen visited us yesterday", reports Urs Kessler directly from South Korea.
The joint presentation offers the unique opportunity to present the Jungfraujoch as the top destination in Interlaken and Grindelwald, as well as the attractions of the entire Jungfrau Region. The world-renowned brands, Top of Europe, Grindelwald and Interlaken will thus be further strengthened in South Korea.
Inspiring interest in winter sports
The objective of the Jungfrau delegation in South Korea is clear: They want to increase the enthusiasm of South Korean visitors for winter sports and also personally show them the many destination options in Interlaken, Grindelwald and throughout the Jungfrau Region. Gian Simmen, the first snowboard halfpipe Olympic champion, will also be there. Since November 2016, he has been responsible for the Jungfrau Railways Grindelwald-First Snow Park.
Pioneering achievement in Asia
South Korea is one of the most important target groups that visit the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe. Jungfrau Railways had already started actively working with the Asian market in the 1980s as well as established a network of representatives in various countries since 1997. In South Korea in particular, their representative has remained true to them from the start and has already been out and about on behalf of Jungfrau Railways for over 20 years. With this pioneering work, Jungfrau Railways has managed to establish its Top of Europe brand in Asia, particularly in South Korea, and assert itself as a market leader. CEO Urs Kessler places great value on personal contacts and travels to Asia or South Korea several times throughout the year, in order to maintain relationships in person.
